专利说明:

[0001] The present invention relates to a pipe assembly provided with a drainage system. Usually, the pipe assembly comprises two pipes, and a junction device configured to connect together the two pipes. Although not exclusively, the present invention applies more particularly to the transfer of fuel on an aircraft, in particular on a transport aircraft, for example for transmitting fuel from a wing of the aircraft to an attachment mast. an engine under the wing, in order to fuel the engine. It is known that, for a monitoring of possible leaks, such a pipe assembly comprising a connection of pipes (or pipes) for fuel transfer, must be drained in specific areas.
[0002] Generally, drained connections comprise a complex set of elements and joints, relatively bulky. The object of the present invention is to provide an efficient drainage system with reduced space requirement. It relates to a pipe assembly comprising two pipes and a junction device configured to connect together the two pipes, said pipe assembly being provided with a drainage system. According to the invention, the drainage system comprises: at least one drainage groove, said drainage groove being made in the junction device; two annular seals arranged on either side of the drainage groove, said annular seals being arranged on the entire periphery around a pipe; and - a hollow and elongate drainage element, a first end of which penetrates into the drainage groove, said drainage element being configured to transmit fluid present in the drainage groove, from the first end to the other end of said element drainage.
[0003] Thus, thanks to the invention, the pipe assembly comprises a drainage system that allows the junction device connecting the two pipes to be drained, this drainage system having a small footprint and being particularly effective, as specified herein. below, by being installed at the junction zones (therefore of fragility) of the pipes. The pipe assembly may have at least some of the following particular features, taken individually or in combination: said annular seals are O-rings; the drainage element is provided with a hollow cylinder, a first end of said hollow cylinder penetrating into the drainage groove and the second end of said hollow cylinder being connected to a flexible pipe. In a particular embodiment, the junction device has a general shape that is longitudinal to the longitudinal axis of at least one section of each of the two pipes, and the two ring seals have the same diameter and they are arranged one parallel to the other, coaxially with the longitudinal axis, being spaced longitudinally from one another.
[0004] In this particular embodiment, advantageously: the junction device is integral with one of said ducts, and it covers the other duct at an end section of the latter; and / or - the drainage groove and grooves for accommodating the annular seals are formed in the outer periphery of said end section, in the form of annular grooves coaxial with the longitudinal axis. Furthermore, the present invention also relates to an aircraft, in particular a transport aircraft, which comprises at least one pipe assembly such as that mentioned above.
[0005] The appended figures will make it clear how the invention can be realized. In these figures, identical references designate similar elements.
[0006] Figure 1 is a schematic perspective view of a pipe assembly comprising a drainage system. FIG. 2 is a schematic longitudinal sectional view of the pipe assembly of FIG. 1.
[0007] The pipe assembly 1 shown in Figures 1 and 2, is a fluid transport device for transmitting fluid including fuel, particularly on an aircraft (not shown), including a transport aircraft. In a preferred application, the pipe assembly may be intended more particularly for transmitting fuel from a wing of an aircraft to a mast for attaching an engine under the wing, in order to supply the engine with in fuel. The pipe assembly can then be located between the primary structure of the mast and the wing, and it can provide the connection between a wing fuel pipe (or pipe) and a pipe (or pipe) of fuel from the mast. As represented in FIGS. 1 to 2, the pipe assembly 1 comprises, in the usual way, two pipes 2 and 3 and a junction device 4 which is configured to connect together the two pipes 2 and 3. Moreover, the pipe assembly 1 is provided with a drainage system 5. According to the invention, the drainage system 5 comprises: - at least one drainage groove (or groove) 6. The drainage groove 6 is practiced in the joining device 4, as specified below; two annular seals 7 and 8. These annular seals 7 and 8 are arranged on either side of the drainage groove 6. In addition, these annular seals 7 and 8 are arranged around the entire periphery around a pipe; and - a hollow and elongate drainage element 9, a first end of which penetrates into the drainage groove 6.
[0008] The drainage element 9 is configured to transmit fluid present in the drainage spline 6 from its first end 10 to its other end (not shown), as illustrated by an arrow F respectively in FIG.
[0009] Thus, thanks to the invention, the pipe assembly 1 comprises a drainage system 5 particularly effective, which is installed on the junction device 4, that is to say at the junction areas (so fragility ) of the two pipes 2 and 3. This drainage system 5 serves to drain the connecting device 4 of the two pipes and identify (and locate) leaks. In a preferred embodiment, the joining device 4 is made of the same material as the pipes 2 and 3 (generally made entirely of metal).
[0010] In addition, preferably, said annular seals 7 and 8 are O-rings. In addition, the drainage element 9 is provided with a hollow cylinder 11. A first end of the hollow cylinder 11 enters the drainage groove 6 and the second end is connected to a flexible pipe 12. In addition, a rigid pipe 13 can be connected to this flexible pipe 12 so as to evacuate the drained fluid in the direction illustrated by the arrow F. This rigid pipe 13 can in particular be fixed by one or more fixing plates 14 to a pipe 3. In the embodiment shown in Figures 1 and 2, the connecting device 4 has a general shape which is longitudinal along a longitudinal axis L. This longitudinal axis L is the longitudinal axis of at least one section of the two pipes 2 and 3, as The two annular seals 7 and 8 have the same diameter and are arranged parallel to each other, coaxially with the longitudinal axis L, being spaced apart longitudinally one. the other and being provided on either side of the drainage groove 6. In this embodiment: - the junction device 4 is integral with the pipe 2 on an end section 22, this assembly being made of a single block; and - it covers the pipe 3 at an end section 23 of the latter. The drainage groove 6, as well as grooves 19 and 20 for accommodating the annular seals 7 and 8, are formed in the outer periphery 24 of said end section 23, in the form of annular grooves which are coaxial with the longitudinal axis L The pipe assembly further comprises a conventional retaining ring 25 which attaches the section 22 to the section 23. The drainage element 9 also comprises a connecting element 26 to which the flexible pipe 12 is connected. and which is attached to the section 22. This embodiment, in which the junction device 4 is arranged longitudinally and comprises a covering of extreme sections of pipe, has a small footprint, since it is not necessary to fix together parts around the pipes. This embodiment can thus be easily mounted in any zone, in particular an aircraft, for which the space is reduced, and may in particular be intended for the aforementioned application between a wing and a mast, for supplying an engine with fuel.
[0011] The drainage system 5 uses a double-wall system, consisting of two annular seals 7 and 8, to guide the liquid in the drainage groove 6 to the drainage element 9. The two walls are made by the annular seals 7 and 8, preferably O-rings, which are arranged on the entire perimeter of the pipe, while the drainage element 9 is present locally. Thus, whatever the weakened zone considered, the first annular seal 7 prevents the passage of the drained liquid inside the pipes, and the second annular seal 8 prevents the liquid present in the drainage groove 6 from reaching the outside. pipes.
[0012] It will be noted that, in the pipe assembly 1, it is not necessary for the two seals 7 and 8 to be arranged in the same plane, and preferably downstream of the drainage groove 6, since the connecting device 4 is arranged longitudinally in the axis L of the pipe assembly 1.
